I'm with you on that.  It's one reason (among a few) that I've not
gotten on Facebook... How can you really be friends with 40,000
people...?   ;)  Maybe I've just been lucky, or maybe picked echos and
bbses wisely, or something, but anyplace I've been active, I've made
real friends, that I can care about and depend on to care about me...
and in at least some cases, friends that I could invite myself to their
homes if I were to be in the area...  :)
