7.62 Nato is based on the meter scale while .308 is based on the inch in
diameter. Both are identical in circumferance or diameter. The length
is what you have the most to worry about......also 7.62 is the same caliber
for the AK-47 and a few of the Chinese Communist automatic rifles....however
the cartridge they use is much larger than the Nato round, both in length &
diameter unless they have been re-chambered for the Nato 7.62 Mainly because
they do not use a smokeless high pressure powder like the Nato countries
have.....
Yes, it will work fine, however, I find that it is not wise to shoot ammo
that is labled for one weapon in another weapon. Not a good habit to get
into.....just my personal feelings...
