RL> Hello there Michael ....

MR>> They do recognize dial tones most of the time but busy tones

MR>> are a real problem. I had to disable it on mine to get Winfax Pro

 MR>> to work reliably.

RL> Depends on the exchange, obviously. Mine handles all tones

RL> flawlessly. I use the fax prog. built into Win95 after downloading

RL> the Win95 drivers for the 33.6 Dynalink. Works bloody well, except

RL> a call to Faxstream warned me that my fax was 0.9dB Over Equalised

RL> and to adjust cable equaliser. Huh!!! Stuffed if I know what that

 RL> means. Anyone??

It means....Go outside and flatten your phone cable with a 40lb sledge

hammer....that should restrict your transmit level sufficently.
