| subject: | ATM FigureXP Printing.. |
From: "James Lerch" To: "ATM List" , Reply-To: "James Lerch" Hello Again, Making progress on the print option, towards that end I offer the following image: http://lerch.no-ip.com/atm/FigXp_Print.gif (24kb) The current thinking on printing is, whatever screen you have pulled up gets printed. Along with what is on the screen, I've added some text below the image that includes: #1 The zone effective radius #2 Normalized and averaged knife edge readings (So Zone 1 = 0) #3 Ideal Knife edge values #4 The difference between the average and ideal knife edge readings. Would anyone like anything else added to this text area? I thought about printing the actual entered knife edge readings, however asides from being a pain and taking up a bunch of real estate, I thought I'd just put the normalized and averaged knife edge readings. I may decide to do things a little different for the printing simulated star test images. That being you'd get a set of test images for each of the following amounts of defocus 0 waves 2 waves 5 waves 10 waves I think I can get all that to fit on a single piece of paper. My concern is how to print the background. If I leave it black, we waste a lot of ink. If I invert it, well you going to have to be smart enough to realize that black rings on paper = white rings in the eyepiece... Any thoughts?
