It seems the spam is coming from posts made via Google groups.
For those of you reading this in Fidonet the gateway was not picking them
up as spam and pulling the posts across from NNTP in to the CBM echomail
area.
Apologies for that. I have tried to tighten up on gateway filtering to
reduce future likelihood. That said it's a bit like playing whack a mole.
