Yes, there are more subtle ways to work your business into your postings and 
replies.  
If the Crime Watch guy had sought out the services of a professional before 
placing his blatent advertising in this echo, he would not be drawing such a 
negative response to his company.
P.S.  To ALL! One small bit of advice.  If you are going to try advertising 
on BBS's, or in Internet Newsgroups, at least read the postings, stay on 
topic, and offer people good, pertinent advice and ideas. If you are a 
sincere contributor to the topic of discussion, you will gain credibility 
with others in the group.
