Is there a proper ceremonial greeting? When dealing with an Ambassador

unaligned power (like the Odonans?), wouldn't it be wise for the captain to=
be up on
the customs of the race of the diplomat? Presumably greetings would be
dif= ferent for
each one. The prudent captain would be up to speed on proper procedure and=
etiquette,
especially if the meeting is planned. The same would go for an ambassador
= of a hostile
power. This is not the same thing as a first contact situation, so I am
as= suming that the
races in question are known.
