I can count on one finger how many stations like that are still in
existence in NJ. There used to be hundreds and hundreds of them (I never
used them, I like having the same brand and grade of gas consistently in
the engine) before the first embargo, less of them after and even fewer
after the Carter shortage; then the big guys must have gotten tired of the
buzzing around their ears and made them go away somehow.

But yes, you're right, the day they got their delivery, would determine
which big name mix they got.
