I succeeded running ALT Linux (yes, I joined them in 2017) on a Rockchip 
RK3288-based mediabox with 4 Gb RAM and 32 Gb flash (used only to boot the 
kernel, the system itself resides on a RAID-1 built from 2 SSDs).

Building the kernel takes approx. 2 hours there :-)
