Paul,
This is an age old argument you are entering. You are trying
to twist this around into saying well UFO's are Venus, and meteors
etc. Correct. Well known. Long ago conceded that yes, in this
world, for many reasons people have mistaken the planet Venus for
something they could not identify, therefore my God, its a UFO, and if
the clouds were moving, and the branches were swaying it may have
actually given the illusion that the planet Venus moved a little. Now
it have long ago been a given that 95% of things seen could be
attributed to excited people, dumb people, drunk people, stoned
people, or any other category you would like to throw out. But the
interest point is that elusive 5% or 2% whichever that have solid
witnesses, strange characteristics, and defy explanation under our
current scientific knowledge, and also exceed our technological
capabilities. Now in this grouping of stories etc, myths etc, I am
willing to listen to all forms of debate and data.
If you Paul wish to share with me, some piece of information I do
not know about, I am most grateful, and that does go for all others of
a skeptical nature. If you say to me Fred, I have information
concerning that story of Belgium, that seems to indicate this, or this
was bogus, because, look at this data, then I will either agree with
you,or say hmmm, I will have to dig a bit more for a judgment. There
are some many myths floating around, and one of the problems the way I
see it, it is easy to dismiss something as a meteor, or delusion, in
some cases you are quite correct. I agree. But in some other cases, I
would like to see data on why you think it is bogus. Not just Klass's
word etc, I admire Mr. Klass, I have read over some of his
investigations and in some cases he does make some very good points
that indicate hoax. But not all.
So the definition UFO is used in a temporary context for sake of
argument. In time some are identified. And that is fine. I agree is
is highly unlikely that all UFO's are alien. If that were the case you
would be as I have said long ago, tripping over greys when you went
out for milk...................
Happy Trails,
Fred.
