Jacqueline:
Thanks for the response to my note. Camp Saunders certainly sounds like a
beautiful place. Our troop went to Camp Daniel Boone about three years
ago (before I was on the scene), and they loved it. The only complaint I
heard was that the water is too cold, and that it made working on water merit
badges tough. Everyone loved the fact that there were no mosquitoes up the
there. Last year went went to Boxwell Reservation outside of Nashville, TN,
and stayed at Camp Stahlman (the reservation has four camps on it....it is
huge), and loved it. I am really looking forward to Camp Boone.
I see that you are also involved in both Cubs and Boy Scouts....GREAT !
It is also good to hear that you are involved in the Round Table. We have a
very active District here in Decatur (Arrowhead District), in the
Tennessee Valley Council. Our Pack has about 70 Cubs, and our troop has about
50 scouts. The Pack usually feeds their Arrow of Light Weblos in to our
troop. Anyway, it is nice to meet you Jacqueline. Please let me hear from
you again.
