there are some companies around that do laser machining of a variety of
metals that will give a nice cut on material of that size but it ain't
cheap.

do you know anyone with a sheet metal shear?

how big is your scope? it wouldn't take much of a twist in the vanes to
give you more obscuration than 0.2mm if they have any width to them.

wire works great for me. i'm using 0.020" (~0.5mm) plain guitar
string. that's holding up a 18oz, 3.5" minor axis secondary assembly
nicely.

Hello list.

Has anyone gone as thin as 0.2mm thickness (steel) for their spider vanes?
I am reluctant to use the wire spider idea for a planetary scope.

How can I cut steel that is 0.2mm thickness (thinness!), with a nice clean edge?

Thanks for putting up with my relentless questions.

Marco Miglionico.
