Hi James and all,
I am wondering if anyone thinks that displaying the differences between
zones might be useful,
eg zone0 subtracted from zone1 , zone1 subtracted from zone2.. etc. (For
both ideal, and the averaged readings)..
For example the mirror I am working on, the ideal differences between
zones happens to be about .014 or .015 inch for most of my zones.. So with
subtracted zones, I can see where the slopes between zones are moving too
slow, or too quickly, and identify which zones are chanaging after a
session, and which are not..
This is a technique that Frank Ward shared with the list a while back..
Does this sound useful to anyone? I have worked on exactly one mirror, so
if I'm off-base, don't take me too seriously.
Thanks,
Mike Warne.
