There were probably only a handful of episodes in The Next Generation I'd
say were science fiction.
Deep Space Nine tried and sometimes succeeded at producing science fiction.
The Janeway and Seven show...
Sorry, I mean Voyager didn't even try.
And Enterprise... well. They're
producing fiction. The science has been pretty damn sparce.
The original idea behind Star Trek was that is was "supposed to
be" science fiction.
