Does any of that take into account the licensing issues Google had with Oracle?
 There was talk ages ago about Oracle suing Google over java and Google
originally tried to hide behind the GNU license and later Apache without any
support of backing from either GNU or Apache regarding java.  What happened
after that I never found out and have long since forgot about it until now ...
not that any of it really matters to me one way or the other.
