You left the  off of your sentence.   W is not the caricature the left
and Europe has conjured up because they don't want to conceive of an
intelligent and strong leader not ageing with their ideas.  They feel this
way because to admit otherwise would require them to examine if they
themselves are as smart as they constantly tell themselves they are.
