RC>NP> have you heard about the new 16650 Uarts???????? *:-<)

No, you are off by a factor of 1024... they have a 32 BYTE buffer...
Buffers don't assist in down and uploading... I have a twin 1KB buffered
(1KB for upload and 1KB for download) Hayes ESP ][ card... you might
want to ask why the hell do I get such card if it is not helping me
downloading faster? Well... easy... Buffered cards and uarts helps to
relieve CPU of the stress of constantly checking for data in the UART,
incase there is going to be a data overrun (the buffer is full and
there is no way to store more date, so it overwrites the previous buffered
data)... this is usually seen in a multi-tasked OS... when the OS either
not well designed or under heavy load... I *CAN* use 16550a on my
motherboard with my OS/2... but I prefer to free some CPU time for other
more important tasks... so I poped in that ESP ][ card... plus it is GREAT
for running high speed serial devices... if I can ever afford one... :)
... Have you hugged your dragon today?
