I wasn't actually thinking directly in terms of funding that $60B. I was
coming from the point of view of getting both the local people and
tradesmen from around the country working. That said, we have no choice but
to spend the money either way -- it seems to me that it would be total
folly, with that entire region out of the economic picture, to raise taxes
on the rest of the country and depress its economic growth as well on top
of that.

All that said, yes over a few years both the taxes paid by the
reconstruction workers and the regained economic activity as they finish
block by block of homes and downtowns will meet and exceed that figure --
whatever it ultimately is and it will be more than $60B.
