Lets see...
"People who majored in folklore and mythology"... no
"Comic book fans"... well, I've read some Star Trek ones (have
some too), b= ut I don't like superhero
comics at all.
"Anime Fans who insist on subtitles"... why, yes, my Japanese is
a little r= usty right now, but I
never use the term "Japanimation."
"Anime Fans who don't care about subtitles"... no.
"Video gamers"... don't own a Gamecube, X-Box, Playstation or
anything that=
came before, and don't
play video games on the computer either, just never got into it.
"Heinlein fans"... used to be, "Piers Anthony Fans"...
don't recall, "Peopl= e who read books based on
Science fiction television shows"... why of course, but I don't refer
to th= ose books as "my collection."
I refer to all my books as "my collection." I'm actually
surprised at the = number of people I know who
have all or most of the Trek books, but you wouldn't notice it by looking
a= t them or knowing them
casually.
"amateur SF/Fantasy Writers"... I think the answer to that is
obvious... "F= an Fic Writers"... ditto.
However, I don't bother with erotic fan fiction, but I have put myself in
t= he story (not posted, nor is it
likely to be, since "officially" I'm not in the story. It's like
Jay's Cap= tain Hailey. I just share the name.
"amateur SF/Fantasy Artists"... I can only dream..."amateur
SF/Fantasy Arti= sts who can't get the
breasts right"... oh, I can get the breasts right, it's all of those
other = artists out there who can't get
their proportions right... the women in the drawings are silicone-free (and=
anorexia-free too)!
"science fiction television fans"... is there anything wrong with
that? "T= rekkies"... well, I like watching
"Star Trek"... is there anything wrong with that? "Trekkies
who speak Klin= gon?" No, but what about
Odonien? "Trekkies who get married in Klingon garb"... well, I
wouldn't go=
that far. I'm still waiting
to hear about Trekkies getting married Betazoid style.
