No Rich, that you're not opposed to Roberts doesn't surprise me in the
least. Despite our recent disagreement (of 10 minutes ago or so!) I think
you generally are most reasonable on a variety of issues. The fact is, as
you recognize, the guy is outstanding (or astounding would be a much better
term) in his ability, without notes, to express his views succinctly.

I think the Dems realize that they'd be cutting off their noses to spite
their faces if they attempt a Borking here; yes they'll go through the
motions because they have to, but they'll keep most of their ammo dry for
next nominee, no matter who it is.

My money is on Janice Rogers Brown.
