I am currently brainstorming the best way to support a large diagonal (a
5.5" for a 30" F/4 scope). Recent threads talked about using
.2mm to
.4mm steel or brass sheet or wire. Should any of these sizes be scaled
up for a bigger spider? Any suggestions or pitfalls specific to making a
spider this size?
Similarly for the secondary holder - is the best approach to holding the
mirror - silicone caulk? Again, any suggestions or pitfalls specific for a
large holder?
Thanks!
Bob
