| subject: | Re: FEMA director Brown relieved of hurricane responsibilities |
From: "Mark" I'm not sure about the generators, nor if the Red Cross and Salvation Army convoys that were refused admission to the city -- immediately as promised in conjunction with FEMA -- had exactly 1,000,000 bottles of water, but it was moot as they stayed right where they were because the governor didn't want them in there to attract more people to sustenance. When all is said and done, this debacle will be solidly upon Governor Blanco's head. Here's another couple of overviews (and I still think it'll be quite a bit of time before it's all sorted out properly): http://www.post-gazette.com/pg/05254/568876.stm The federal response to Katrina was not as portrayed http://www.proteinwisdom.com/index.php/weblog/entry/19000/ Katrina Coverage, Stage 2: Competing Narratives Emerge "John Cuccia" wrote in message news:tvh9i1levej1lkqktrb1qikusbm9jnndlh{at}4ax.com... > On Sun, 11 Sep 2005 09:28:25 -0500, John Cuccia > wrote: > >>On Fri, 9 Sep 2005 15:10:28 -0400, "Rich Gauszka" >> wrote: >> >>>FEMA director Michael Brown relieved of hurricane responsibilities >> >>Maybe this has something to do with it.
