not exactly a compliant hinge but i'm using a soft plastic bumper between
my three screws on my secondary adjustment. one screw closest to the
focuser is used to create tension and is not used for adjustment. the other
two do the adjusting.

the bumper is in the middle under compression and seems to work well.

For other optics alignment issues I've previously recommended compliant
hinges...even a simple blob of RTV silicone...as mentioned by Richard
Schwartz.

Could that concept be applied for secondary mirror alignment? Would RTV
silicone have strong enough resistance to constant tension as the compliant
hinge? (Bond strength? Tensile strength?)
