      Among other statues...  The investigations into the campaign
finance activities of the Clinton administration are themselves
progressing on a totally different track than the allegations of crimes
involving Lewinski and seem to be honing in on Gore as well.  If th
White House would simply provide the information requested in a timely
manner these investigations could proceed and be over with in a matter
of weeks.  
       What dismays me is that the administration itself, by delaying
the process at every turn, has created a situation where multiple
investigations are open at the same time and the process appears
endless.  A small bit of compliance with lawful requests for documents
could have closed out the Starr investigation, one way or the other,
years ago.  
       There's no witch hunt being conducted by Judge Starr, he is
simply waiting for the White House to comply with court orders and
while he waits new allegations of criminal activity keep popping their
heads up.  What most Clinton supporters fail to realize is that before
Starr can investigate new allegations, both Janet Reno, a member of
Clinton's own cabinet, and a three judge federal panel must indicate
that sufficient evidence exists for him to investigate.  Judge Starr
simply does not get to chase any lead he wants to.

       There's enough circumstantial evidence here to convict you or I,
but it appears that Judge Starr is looking for that final nail to drive
home a clear cut conviction.  In fact, he may already have the final
nail, but simply needs to go through the steps necessary to get an
indictment.  Whenever this does finally break, however, the whole thing
is going to collapse under Clinton like an avalanche and I think even
you and I are going to be amazed as the sheer scale of the crimes this
White House has been involved in.
