-=> IAN HOARE whispered to WOLF SZCZYPIORKOWSKI <=- IH> Okay - as I said to Charles, I'm in mid redecoration, so I IH> don't have a lot of time to play, but I'll try and see if I can IH> persuade a second instance of Textedit to work. Okay, so go finish your decorating (g).. WS> In DOS, the file names are also limited to 8 characters. Thus the WS> 8.3 filename convention. So, if I remember correctly, you would WS> have: "C:\PROGRA~1\TEXTPA~1\textpad.exe" as the DOS path & filename WS> for your editor defined in mmail.rc (without the quotes). IH> Tried that - sort of. It's the "sort of" part that might have an error in it.. So, as I said, if you don't get it exactly right, it aint gonna work and windows aint gonna tell you.. Wolf PS: Ah, I re-read some of the other messages.. I see you are trying to use 'textedit', and since it is only eight characters long, you won't need to use the ~1 to bring it back to eight charcaters. So, if that is the 'sort of', not to worry.. -!- Wolf's Den BBS [1:249/308.0] ...
