I had my first cat declawed because I had no idea what took place. I
thought they just trimmed the nails. I didn't know they cut out the
bones. Declawing is illegal in England. Obviously it has to be a
horrid experience. I mean, the English were the ones who were fond of
drawing and quartering people. If declawing is illegal, it must be bad!
My new kitten will never go through what KD had to. I just trim her
little nails every week and that's fine with me. I feel so terrible and
so guilty about having KD declawed. I have repeatedly beat myself over
it and tried to do what I could to make her life happy and easier. I
love my little KD and would never have intentionally hurt her.
I don't think cats should ever be declawed, under any circumstance. New
furniture and pantyhose can be replaced. The love of a good cat can't.
