I think most men figure that if they don't think that way then there is
something wrong with them.  However, at the same time they do think that
way so maybe there is something wrong with them.  :-/

I agree.  That is usually the best case scenerio.

Something like that but I think it may have more to do with the idea that
they failed somehow if it doesn't happen.

I'd like to believe that is possible.  I think it is.  You really have to
be careful about that though (both sexes).  Despite any natural urges I
think the getting to know each other first is a solid plan.  Most often
that won't get me what I really want but then again that might actually be
a very good thing.  Dating is a very tricky business.
