I just did a Google search for "Game of Hearts" and "Network
Hearts".
Came up with many hits, some of which seem to say that you can indeed
play the network version of Hearts in a local network such as you have
at home.
The Win98 version of Hearts should work as a stand alone game in XP but
using it on a local network probably is not going to work as you found
out. Try the Google search and see what you come up with. Good luck.
