Thankx muchly re my Sound Card probs. under OS2. OK its a 486dx 2/66 with 16 meg. Ram, an ESDI HD,an Adaptec SCSI card running my Sony 2X CD. The SB is supposed to be a "Vibra" card made by Creative Labs. The OS is Warp ver 3.0. I've tried installing it using the easy and the custom method. The ssytem recognises the CD and the SCSI card BUT not the SB. The SB works OK under Dos and Win3.11. I had to install something called an Intel Prog manager (or could be config manager) B4 the SB installation prog. would work Its something to do with "plug and play". I did have the SB working once but when I shut the system down and rebooted it wouldnt work again. The config.sys files stops at the line Dev=c:\os2\mmos2\sb16.ssy or wotever. I'm really happy with OS2 but cant see why this SB is giving me so much trouble. Bye 4 now anyway. --- Maximus/2 3.00* Origin: (3:640/725) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 623/630 625/160 626/660 640/201 230 297 305 702 725 SEEN-BY: 640/820 821 822 823 711/409 410 413 430 808 809 934 949 955 712/515 SEEN-BY: 713/317 714/906 800/1 @PATH: 640/725 702 820 711/409 808 934 |
