 Why do you need that? ATLx where x = 0 1 2 3, and you can adjust your
 modem's volume... if you want any finer adjustment, get an external
 modem.

 Why do that? Just go AT&F  AT&W  ATZ , man, you gotta RTFM...
 Those are the basic commands!!! I never asked for the "best" init strings,
 just flip your manual (USR have manual in .txt format for download), and
 change the setting to suit yourself...
