DB}  What I do with some of my scraps is put them to a "vest". Sew them
    like you were going to make a quilt or ?? them cut out your vest
    pattern and sew as usual.  There is a pattern for that style but I'm
    sure you could use any pattern and just use the same quilt idea,  It
    sure looks nice and the 1990's.
