That's only if the delta stays constant and doesn't accelerate...

Uh, no, there's still the base weather pattern we have with the gulf stream
and jet stream, should those change (and it looks like they may in the
future), then we'll see things differently. Hurricanes only form in
certain areas up to now...
However, just this year we had the *very first* recorded hurricane in the
southern Atlantic, it hit Brazil, named Catarina if I remember right.
(named after where it hit.)
We also had quite a few form close to the United states rather than coming
across from Africa, while not totally unusual, the pattern does look
different than years past.
