I failed to see the thrill.  I have to second Joe, Dr. Who is OK, but I
can't see it as a serious crossover.  Than the Whoivan attitude and you
belittle Trek, take a Trek attitude and you trivialize Who.  It's not so
much that you can't work one into the other Trek is more that guilty of the
time warp thing.  Dr. Who and Star Trek have very different attitudes as to
the world view.  Who is deliberately light hearted even at it's darkest. 
Trek takes it's world seriously.
