I agree.  I remember the first time I had Jewish classmates, it was the 5th
grade.  Our teacher led the class in (Christian) prayer twice a day, and in
music class there were hymns as well as Christmas songs in season.  I could
tell that the Jewish kids were clearly uncomfortable with that, and it made
them feel more excluded and "other".
