Well, my guess is that the problem doesn't come from the modem but rather
from your serial (or multi-io) card. Could you please describe your config,
including motherboard, cpu type, and io card...
Oh, by the way, I've just found that some mouse driver (especially MS mouse
v10.0 and 11.0) are causing problems with some IO cards, so check your
mouse driver (I would recommend MS Mouse 8.20)
