You might stop calling it "Windoze", if you would like some help. ;)  If you 
can upgrade cheaply to WFWG 3.11, do so.  I hear the comm routines are much 
better than 3.x (I went straight to '95, sooo...).  Other way would be to 
obtain chcomb.386, which replaces the standard
device=*combuff, and/or cybercom.drv, which replaces comm.drv=comm.drv with 
comm.drv=cybercom.drv.
Many folks have managed to handle Dos BBSs & front ends under 3.x  I wasn't 
one of them, mind you (being too lazy to put the work in), but it _has_ been 
done...
I am sure Jerry Schwartz would be glad to give you suggestions, since (if 
memory serves) he is one of the aforementioned success stories.
