Just to name a few...
Advantages:
Data Migration
Data Compression
NDS (Distributed, replicated database)
Better Memory Management
Cumulative licensing
Disadvantages:
Cost to upgrade
Larger Memory Requirement
Bindery Emulation (some software *REQUIRES* a true Bindery-based
flat database)
Need to learn NDS
Need to have at least one workstation running Windows for ease
of management (can be done from DOS but *VERY* cumbersome).
Requires more work to recover from a serious crash
Other than that, not much of a difference between the two.
