For quite a few years I grew everything in the ground, but the
last few years I have done a lot of experimenting with container
gardening and find that I have better luck with some veggies in
containers than in the ground. Sounds like you're doing pretty
well so far with your tomatoes. You have them in big pots which
tomatoes need, and getting sun and nutrients...so they should do
well. When your tomatoes get big and loaded with tomatoes it's
real important to keep the watering constant. They will be more
prone to blossom end rot if you let them dry out too much. At
that point there roots will really be fulling those pots so it's
possible you might need to water them a couple of times a day.
Good luck with your tomatoes.
