I agree, it looks cool, and give the proper 'feel' but given the gs you
have to handle a starship should be more solid than solid rock until
"something very bad" happens.

True, but I like through that sort of thing out, Besides if you look at the
energy requirements (realistically) for half the stuff done on trek you're
in real trouble.
