I have VMWare 6.x workstation loaded on it, along with (2) VMs. One VM runs Windows XP for D'Bridge / BinkD, mailtossing, events, etc. The other VM runs the BBS nodes in DOS windows on OS/2 (E-commstation). I'm even using Ray Gwinn's SIO drivers for virtual comm port support - under a VM! Very cool that it all worked, since my BBS doesn't have native telnet support. That same system runs my webserver and a few other things. No longer do I have the BBS running on a dedicated system with old hardware. I can take advantage of all the new fast hardware and future-proof it by running in the VM environment. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
