ac> what the problem was. Took me a while. It'd be nice ac> to see a compiler that not only displayed the source ac> code line where there is a compiler error or warning, ac> but also the column. Watcom does actually give you the column; or at least, mine does. It does not, however, display the source line. OTOH, IBM's compilers all do, if you feed them a command line switch (-z, from memory) to turn that feature on. It also issues horrifyingly long multi-line error messages, sometimes complete with reference to the section on ISO-C which might apply. I find neither of these features particularly useful when working with the compiler in 99.9% of ordinary programming and development work. --- MaltEd/2 1.0.b6* Origin: Unique Computing Pty Limited (3:632/348) SEEN-BY: 50/99 620/243 623/630 632/103 348 360 998 633/371 634/388 396 SEEN-BY: 635/301 502 503 506 544 639/252 711/401 409 410 413 430 808 809 934 SEEN-BY: 712/515 713/888 714/906 800/1 @PATH: 632/348 635/503 50/99 711/808 934 |
