I was just going to mention that I saw one of your old posts on my BBS - which happened to be from 2002 in the Sysop's Tech Net. I was also a member of that network at one time! Small world! It is almost creepy that I have posts that still exist on my BBS from so long ago. I actually have posts dating back to 1992 in some message areas (which is before my oldest daughter was born). My first computer was a Commodore Vic-20 (which I won by entering a Mother's Day contest). I had no interest in computers until I won that system. Then I was hooked. I got into BBSs back in the early 80s after seeing a friend of mine in High School log into some Atari BBS systems. Back then, there were so many different types of computers to run BBS systems on. I actually ran my BBS on an Apple //c at first (software called Apple-Net). I was just a teen in High School back then. Once leaving the Apple // hardware and going PC, I have only run WWIV (starting with 3.21 I think it was). I'm running a highly modded version of 4.24a. BBS systems, computers, etc, helped develop my skills that I would later turn into my career in technology. - Mark --- WWIVToss v.1.40 Registered* Origin: http://www.weather-station.org * Bel Air, MD -USA (1:261/1304.0) SEEN-BY: 3/0 633/267 640/954 712/0 313 550 620 848 @PATH: 261/1304 266/512 140/1 261/38 712/848 633/267 |
