The only crossover that I did was a Star Trek/Independence Day story, but
in the end, I resorted to the ultimate copout in a Trek crossove= r:

"Computer, end program."

I did it this way to maintain continuity.  I had an idea for a Star Wars/
Trek crossover, but never wrote the story.  On the other hand, the on-going
(even after four years) "The Sun God Saga" puts a very Star
Wars-like setting and story in the Trek universe, using Trek physics and
technology but Star Wars-like politics and setting. "Hyperspace"
is really a network of transwarp conduits, for example.
