Of course it is, however 24 penguins on bootup might enhance life a bit.  The
best I can do at the moment is 8 cores, with 32G of DDR3 ECC which is a bit of
overkill.  I think 16G would be the sweet spot.  For your E5-2680 I'd go with
48G but 24G might be the sweet spot on that particular CPU depending on what
you use it for.
