Hello, Mark...
RM> TF warbird, I'd suggest the F4U rather than the Mustang. TTYL - Roger

Tail draggers, especially the warbirds, require more skill and care in
flying than the tricycle-geared aircraft - when I started with them, I'm
sure I broke more props and had more aborted takeoffs than the average
pilot. When I'm teaching beginners now, I concentrate on having them
do high speed taxi runs up and down the field WITHOUT TAKING OFF - the
effort in keeping a straight taxi run is ESSENTIAL in learning how to
fly the tail-draggers. The F4U that I built for one of my customers
was powered with a rear-exhaust OS 60 - what a sweet flying bird that
is - still exists but with several minor repair jobs and one MAJOR
repair (broken wing, had to splice the gull joint and then re-balance
the whole wing) - still flys well. You've been an aircraft modeler for
some time - right ??? What is your favorite bird ??? TTYL - Roger
