I wonder just how much access he to the information while he served in the
White House. As a Gunnery Sergeant and part of the VP's security detail I
wouldn't think he would have a lot of direct access. Could you make any
guesses on that ?

would indicate that he was stealing during the time at the WH.
I would hope Cheney had better things to do than run his security detail
. I might and will fault Cheney (and Bush) for a lot of things but I
would not expect him to be actively involved in his own security detail.
Also is an FBI analyst the same as an Agent ? The Times called him an Agent
but other stories call him an Analyst which appears to be staff position.
