female suicide bomber blew herself up outside an Iraqi army recruiting
center, killing 7 and wounding 37. A producer for a national television
news program cited this to me as an example of a "worsening
insurgency." I asked the producer if he'd considered the possibility
that the female suicide bomber -- against which there are cultural taboos
in Iraq -- might be a sign of desperation on the part of

It wasn't conveniently ignored, it was purposely ignored as it wasn't worth
commenting on. You think, because you read only what you want to read, that
there is this huge civil war already in progress that will now spread
world-wide and, presumably, you think that the end of civilization is now
near as a result, when the reality is we're killing (as will be the host
countries the terrorists will be turning tail and running to) them at a
rapid pace. Clue: Most Sunni get along fine with, some marry, and some live
with or near many Shia -- it is the terrorists and remants of Saddam's
regime that are causing the problems, not the Sunni people as a group -- or
are you now in the habit of categorizing all people of any given religion,
race, or creed in the same bucket? You really believe that all Sunni's are
ready to strap on suicide vests, rather, they're turning in the terrorists
now, because they're sick and tired of being exploited and murdered.

Bush is a liar? Cite some proof please. (no, sorry, "no WMD"
doesn't cut it in the proof department) He has no credibility? He does with
me. Don't mistake a bunch of elite, positively whiny "Dem-like"
conservatives that are upset that "their" court pick wasn't
nominated with a belief that they are abandoning either Bush or the Reps,
they may not like Miers, they may not like open-borders, they may not like
the spending -- but they're not foolish enough to go over to the Dem side
and make things worse.
