Not quite the same, they're in real competition. Unlike the mine companies

biggest and best in the world, would do no less? You want some more
sarcasm? I have plenty more...
(*) For example, a few years back the oil companies here were found guilty
of price fixing. It was proven that they had arranged together to end a
"free car wash with tank of gas" promotion simultaneously. (One
chain had offered it, the others followed suit, no-one wanted to blink
first to end it so they colluded.) It sounds petty, but it shows how
closely they are watched. With gas here at about $US 4 per US gallon, half
of that being tax, the Government know they could fall if it becomes an
election issue.
