Hi, everyone.

I would not normally feel the need to do this, but because of what just
happened this morning to me on my BBS, I need to publicly clarify a few
things.

This morning, I was checking the mail on my BBS when a user, who
participates in this echo and is a friend of Mike Roberts, left me a rude,
scathing message accusing me of cutting off Mike Roberts' Fidonet feed as
evidently he has completely removed Fidonet from his BBS.  This user then
immediately accused me of hurting themselves and other users of my BBS who
also visited Roberts' BBS and threw in several other personal insults.

FOR THE RECORD, I DID NOT HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MIKE ROBERTS ACTING IN
SPITE!  HE REMOVED HIMSELF FROM FIDONET!

I don't have the power to do that and quite frankly, I could give a damn
less about Mike Roberts so I wouldn't take the time and effort to try to
get his whole feed killed.

Also, for this user's benefit, if I /did/ issue an echo feed cut, it would
be announced in this echo in public as an official moderator message.

The reason why Mike Roberts got in hot water is that he broke an echo rule
concerning commenting publicly on a moderated post.  If he simply had used
common sense and read the echo rules to respond in private, everything
would have been fine.

If ignorance is bliss, there must be some happy people right now.
