The biggest difference between the XP firewall and 3rd party ones is 
that the 3rd party software also blocks outgoing connections until 
approved.  XP's simply blocks incoming which is fine if you can 
guarantee no nefarious software being installed that "calls home" or 
otherwise utilizes outgoing traffic.  Since there's so many free options 
out there, there's no reason to stick with the XP one...
